　　9、用于“动词+人+介词+the+人体部位”结构中。

　　例如：The police seizes the thief by the arm.

　　警察抓住了小偷的胳膊。

　　10、用于表示时期、年代、世纪的名词、数次或具体的地点、方位名词前。

　　例如：The war broke out in the seventeenth century.

　　战争爆发于17世纪。

　　The city lies in the west of the country.

　　这个城市位于这个国家的西部。

　　11、用于“by+the+表示计量单位的名词”中，表示“按照……计算”。

　　例如：Part-tine jobs are usually paid by the hour.

　　兼职通常是按照小时付工资。

　　12、用于由普通名词构成的专有名词前。

　　例如：the Great Wall 长城

　　the Summer Palace 颐和园

　　the Three Gorges 三峡

　　13、用于固定搭配中。

　　at the same time 同时     all the year round 全年     in the end 最后

　　on the right 在右边        by the way 顺便说一下        at the moment 目前
