　　5、用于表示自然界独一无二的事物及表示江河、海洋、山脉、群岛等名词前。

　　例如：There is no living thing on the moon.

　　A new bridge has been built over the Changjiang River in Huangshi.

　　一座新桥已建成于黄石段的长江上。

　　6、用于姓氏的复数前，表示“一家人”或“夫妻二人”。

　　例如：The Black are planning to go on vacation.

　　布莱克一家打算去度假。

　　7、用于形容词或分词前，表示一类人或事物。

　　例如：We should take good care of the old.

　　我们应该照顾好老人。

　　8、用于表示弹奏的西洋乐器的名词前。
