用表示时间的连词连接一个句子作状语，这样的主从复合句就是时间状语从句。连接时间状语从句的连接词有:when, before, after, while, as soon as, until, since...... 这里要注意一点的是，如果主句是
主要时态
时间状语从句常见连词用法：
since
意为“自从；自……以来”，主句常用一般现在时或现在完成时，从句常用一般过去时。 例如： I have worked in this company since I graduated from university. 我从大学毕业后就在这家公司工作。 before 意为“在……之前”。 例如：
She wants to see youbeforeyou go.
她想在你走之前见见你。
after
意为“在……之后”。
例如：
You need to brush your teeth after eating to have good teeth.
为了牙齿健康，你吃完东西应该刷牙。
till/until
意为“直到……为止”，常用于“not...until...”结构中，表示“直到……才……”。
例如：
I’m really tired because I studied until midnight last night.
我非常累，因为我昨晚学习到了半夜
as
(1)意为“当……的时候”。
例如：
Asyou go along the river, the London Eye is on your right.
当你沿着河边走的时候，伦敦眼就在你的右边。
(2)意为“随着”。
例如：
As you get older, I think it is important not to depend on your parents for everything but to learn to look after yourself.
随着你长大，我认为不要一切都依靠你的父母而要学会照顾自己是重要的。
while
意为“当……时，在……时”，引导的时间状语从句的谓语动词常用延续性动词或表示状态的动词。
例如：
While Linda was sleeping, Jenny was helping Mary with her homework.
当琳达睡觉时，珍妮正在帮玛丽完成作业。
when
意为“当……时”，引导的时间状语从句的谓语动词既可以是延续性动词，也可以是瞬间性动词。
例如：
I feel very happy when you come to see me.
你们来看我，我感到非常开心。
as soon as
意为“一……就……”，引导的时间状语从句常用一般现在时表示将来。
例如：
My mom came over as soon as I sat down in front of the TV.
我一坐在电视前面，我妈妈就过来了。
