1. 宾语从句名言：

Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that thankfulness is indeed a virtue.有时我们需要提醒自己，感激是真正的美德。Health is the thing that makes you feel that now is the best time of the year.健康使你感到现在是一年中最好的时光。If you can’t have the best, make the best of what you have.没有最好的，就充分利用现有的。If you don’t have what you like，you must like what you have.没有你喜欢的东西，就喜欢你现有的东西。

2. 宾语从句定义：

在主从复合句子中，充当宾语，位于及物动词、介词或复合谓语之后的从句称为宾语从句。 宾语可分为三类：动词的宾语从句、介词的宾语从句、形容词的宾语从句。

1、 主现从任意

如果主句是一般现在时，宾语从句根据需要，可以用相应的任何时态。如：

I don't know when he will come back.

He tells me that his sister came back yesterday.

2、 主过从过 如果主句一般过去时，宾语从句用过去范畴的时态：

一般过去时 过去进行时 过去将来时 过去完成时

The children didn't know who he was.

She said she was reading a book at seven last night.

Peter said he would come to see me tomorrow.

She said she had seen the film several times.

3、真理永不变。如果宾语从句所表示的是客观事实、普遍真理、自然现象或习惯性动作等，不管主句用什么时态，宾语从句都用一般现在时

The teacher said that the earth goes round the sun。

四 宾语从句的引导词

1、当由陈述句充当宾语从句时，宾语从句的引导词用that.

that无实际意义，在口语或非正式文体中常省略。

He said (that) he could finish his work before supper.

2、当由一般疑问句充当宾语从句时，宾语从句的引导词用if/whether引导，意为“是否”。if/whether不可省略。

I don't know if/ whether he still lives here after so many years.

3、特殊疑问句充当宾语从句时，引导词用：

连接代词who, whom, whose, which, what

或连接副词 when, where, how, why

He asked who could answer the question.

I wonder how you came here.

Would you please tell me when the professor will come?

在下列情况下只能用whether：

1. 和or或or not连用

Let me know whether/ if he will come or not.

=Let me know whether or not he will come.

2. 在介词之后

I'm interested in whether he likes English.

We're thinking about whether we can finish the work on time.

I worry about whether I hurt her feelings.

3.和不定式连用

He hasn't decided whether to visit the old man.

I don't know whether to go.

He hasn't decided whether to go by bus or by train.
