　　An adjective is a word that tells us more about a noun.

　　(By "noun" we include pronouns and noun phrases.)

　　Typical adjective endings:

　　-able/-ible

　　-al

　　-ful

　　-ive

　　-less

　　-ous

　　常见的否定词缀

　　un-

　　unable; unbelievable

　　in-

　　incorrect;

　　im-

　　impossible

　　“the+形容词”表示一类

　　the old;

　　the young;

　　the rich;

　　the poor;

　　the wounded
