Want to keep a nice friendship going？ Visiting your friends from time to time is important.
Friendship between two countries is the same， even for old friends of 30 years， like China and Brazil (巴西).
Last year， Chinese President Hu Jintao started his two-week visit to four Latin American (拉丁美洲的) countries. Brazil was his first stop.
During the visit， Hu had talks with Brazilian leaders. They hoped the two countries could become better friends.
"This is an important time in the friendship between China and Brazil. We should work side-by-side to keep it going，" said Hu.
Other countries
The two countries are ready to hold more cultural festivals (文化节) for the young. More cultural centres will be set up. This way the two peoples can learn to understand each other better.
Hu said the two countries should take the same stand when they speak for the developing countries. They should talk with each other more about world peace (和平).
Brazil is China's biggest business friend in Latin America. They are ready to put more money into each other to set up more factories.
Brazil became a country in 1822. It's in the east of South America. It's the largest country there. It has one of the longest rivers in the world， the Amazon River， and big forests along it. The country is also rich in natural resources (自然资源).
