Unit 6  How long have you been collecting shells?       Period 5

　　This activity provides writing practice using the target language.

　　First review Activity 2a on Page 47.Then ask students to complete the message according to Activity 2a.Some partial sentences are given to students.

　　Write about one person's collection.When students work, walk around the room checking the progress and offering help as needed.

　　When they finish, ask some students to read their messages to the class.Show a sample message on the screen by a projector.

　　Then ask students to read it on their own.
